Who is Torben?

Torben Möger Pedersen is the former CEO of PensionDenmark (1992-2023) and is currently the chairman of Copenhagen Business School, The CIP Foundation (CIP Fonden), The Danish Foreign Policy Society (Det Udenrigspolitiske Selskab), the Danish Society for Education and Business, Hedorf's Foundation, and Gefion Gymnasium. Furthermore, he is a board member of  Energi Danmark and the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment.

The Danish Society of Education and Business

The Danish Society for Education and Business aims to make Denmark smarter by raising the level of education and research with a global, business perspective. 

DSEB's role is to act as a catalyst by initiating and supporting concrete projects that focus on creating increased interaction between education and research and companies in Denmark. DSEB also awards a number of prizes and grants that reward extraordinary efforts and help bright, young minds further their research in the humanities or social sciences.

Gefion Gymnasium

Established in 2010, Gefion is one of the newest high schools in Copenhagen. Formed as the merging of two smaller schools, Gefion Gymnasium has more than 1.000 students and 120 teaching staff. The students originate from all over Copenhagen and its suburbs.

Hedorf's Foundation

Hedorf's Foundation promotes freight transport and trade. The foundation aims to promote trade and transport in Denmark through financial support for projects and skills development. 

The funds at the disposal come from returns on the foundation's assets, which are invested in securities and real estate. The foundation distributes scholarship funds every six months.

Denmark's National Defence Technology Centre (NFC)

The National Defence Technology Centre is a joint initiative of all universities and government approved research and development organisations (GTS institutes) in Denmark. The aim of the National Defence Technology Centre is that the universities and GTS institutes can contribute to a critical technological boost of the Danish Armed Forces and the Danish defence industry through interdisciplinary partnerships that combine technological innovation with civil, military, political and economic considerations to make Denmark a significant international knowledge player in defence and security technology.

Stop Wasting Food

Stop Wasting Food movement Denmark (Stop Spild Af Mad) is Denmark’s largest non-profit movement against food waste, which has initiated the fight against food waste in Denmark. Since its foundation in 2008, Stop Wasting Food helped bringing massive focus on food waste on Denmark’s agenda and has achieved a large number of results in Denmark, in collaboration with the Danish Government, EU and UN.
